Driving is a great way to explore Jervis Bay and specially the drive down the Pacific Highway along the beautiful coastal region of NSW. Jervis Bay has loads of other activities to go bush walking, cycling, camping, and swimming, exploring secret coves and hidden creeks with a kayak and many more. The area boasts world-class cafes, restaurants, pubs, wine bars and a burgeoning music scene. Overnight in Jervis Bay.
Day is free to explore the area from Jervis Bay. Jervis Bay is one of the best places in Australia to see whales on their annual migration heading north to the waters around Harvey Bay. Huskisson is situated on the western shore of Jervis Bay and it is a fantastic area for scuba-diving with crystal clear calm waters and of course the inquisitive wildlife in the sea! This is the second most popular dive spot in Australia after the Great Barrier Reef! Most of the whale and dolphin watching tours start from Huskisson.
Visit a fancy National park with rugged cliffs facing the sea at the Booderee National Park with a view of fantastic white sandy beaches, and crystal clear waters. From Wreck Bay village on Summercloud Bay in the park’s south, a walking trail circles the peninsula to St Georges Head, passing a succession of quiet beaches, cliffs and forests.
There are lots of free things to do such as snorkeling in the park and you might even see some of the famous marine life such as Sting Rays or Dolphins and there is even a Penguin Colony near Bowen Island. It is also a good place to learn about Aboriginal culture and see some free carvings made from the local Aboriginal tribes from this area. Overnight in Jervis Bay
Wake up to an early breakfast and drive an hour and a half to Wollongong.
