Day 1 (Sun) Arrive Cappadocia
Arrive to Cappadocia. Meet with our representative there and transfer to the hotel. (Optional night tour with a Turkish show is available tonight). Dinner and Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 2 (Mon) Cappadocia – Full Day Tour Optional:
Early in the morning, Hot Air Balloon ride is available After breakfast, full day excursion in Cappadocia including visits to the Kaymakli Underground City, Open Air Museum in Goreme and natural fortress in Uchisar. Here, we will have the opportunity to discover and understand the rich history behind local handicrafts like hand-made carpets, Turkish tiles, onyx and potteries. Dinner and Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 3: CAPPADOCIA – KONYA – PAMUKKALE
Early morning start for a drive to Pamukkale via Konya .On the way visit to the 13th century Seljukian masterpiece Sultanhan Caravanserai. This fortified structure was built in 1229 (dated by inscription), during the reign of the Seljuk sultan Kayqubad I, by the Syrian architect Muhammed Bin Havlan El Dimaski (Dimaski meaning from Damascus) along the trade route from Konya to Aksaray, leading to Persia (the Uzun Yolu) and arrival in Konya. Visit to the Mausoleum of Mevlana, the world famous mystic figure and Founder of Whirling Dervishes (Sufis). Then continue on to Pamukkale,Cotton Castle and overnight in Pamukkale.
Day 04 (Wed) PAMUKKALE – APHRODISIAS – KUSADASI
Tour the ruins of Hierapolis including the magnificently preserved cemetery “Necropolis”, the Main Street and Gates, the Thermal Baths, the Roman Theatre. In the afternoon tour Aphrodisias, the city of Aphrodite; visit the Museum, the Temple of Aphrodite, the Theatre, the Stadium, the Agora, the Hadrian Baths, the Odeon, and the Bishop’s Palace. Proceed to the hotel in Kusadasi for overnight.
Day 05 (Thu) KUSADASI – EPHESUS – KUSADASI
Morning tour to Ephesus area with Ephesus Antique City, impressive structures we will see include the Library of Celsus, Temple of Hadrian, Theatre and Odeon. (Hillside Houses are excluded; entrance requires additional admission fee), one of the most popular ancient sites of Turkey with many acres of carefully excavated ruins; We also visit the House of the Virgin Mary and Church of St. John. Time for shopping. Overnight in Kusadasi. * Ephesus Museum in Selcuk is normally closed and no visits are possible when this tariff is released. Once opened, Church of St. John is to be replaced with the Museum.
Day 06 (Fri) KUSADASI – PERGAMON – TROY – CANAKKALE
Early departure for Pergamon antique city also known as One of the Seven Churches of The Revelation and visit to the Asclepion, perhaps was the world’s most famous ancient medical center , Coming into the main precinct of the Asclepion, notice the large marble column fragment bearing the Asclepion’s symbol: two snakes facing each other across a wheel. As snakes shed their skins are are “reborn,” so patients at the Asclepion were to shed their illnesses and regain health. In the afternoon continue on to Troy, the place where the legendary Trojan War took place as described in the historical work of Homer of Smyrna. With its 4,000 years of history, is one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world. The first excavations at the site were undertaken by the famous archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann in 1870. In scientific terms, its extensive remains are the most significant demonstration of the first contact between the civilizations of Anatolia and the Mediterranean world. Moreover, the siege of Troy by Spartan and Achaean warriors from Greece in the 13th or 12th century B.C., immortalized by Homer in the Iliad, has inspired great creative artists throughout the world ever since. After visiting the site with nine inhabitation levels covering a period of 3000 years, drive to Canakkale for overnight.
Day 07 (Sat) CANAKKALE – ISTANBUL – DEPARTURE After breakfast sail to the other side of Dardanelles by a ferryboat and drive to Istanbul with visit to Gallipoli, historically famous for being the site of many battles – particularly involving the Allied Forces including Australians and New Zealanders during World War I. Arrive in Istanbul late afternoon and transfer to the hotel for overnight.
Day 08 (Sun) Istanbul – DEPARTURE
After breakfast, check out from the hotel. You will have free time until transfer to the airport for your flight to your next destination / home. The tour ends with great memories. Have a safe trip back home and thanks for choosing us for your holiday.
